THE PRESENTATIONS

Ignite Wilmington is looking for speakers for Ignite Wilmington #4 which will  be hosted at The Delaware Center for Horticulture on Thursday, October 7th.  We’re expecting another fantastic event.  We know there must be even more of you out there with ideas and passions you would like to share with Wilmington, so don’t be shy.  Submit your ideas!

If there’s something you are passionate about and you want to spend five minutes sharing it with an enthusiastic and supportive audience,  this is your chance.  We’re after a mix of funny and serious, social and personal, high and low tech, crafty, webby, environmental, quirky and mainstream. Making us laugh is a good thing, making us think is even better!  The only thing we insist on is No Sales Pitches.  To get an idea of the wide range of previous talks, take a look at the videos at http://igniteshow.com/

HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL

We’re trying something a little different this time, and allowing prospective speakers to submit their topics on our Uservoice site.   Everyone else will be able to vote on the topics they want to hear.  You can check out the whole thing here:

THE SUPER-IMPORTANT DEADLINE

Proposals must be received by 6 pm on Sunday,  September 12, 2010.  We expect to receive a lot of submissions, and we won’t be able to accommodate them all.  Write a great proposal, share it with everyone you know, and promote, promote, promote!

Voting will remain open until Thurday, September 16th at 12PM.

HOW WE’LL MAKE SELECTIONS:

The community will choose half of the speakers, and the organizers will choose the other half.  We will  make an attempt to select a wide range of topics so that there isn’t much overlap in terms of content and subjects that were covered at previous Ignite Wilmington events.

On September 16th, we will notify the presenters chosen to speak. If you are selected, we will provide you with the powerpoint and/or keynote master slides so you can begin your masterpiece!  We want to give you as much time to prepare as possible.
