THE PRESENTATIONS
Up to 20 slides and 5 minutes is all you get. Not a second more. The presenters need to get to the point quickly, and make it exciting and engaging. No sales pitches, just interesting presentations by interesting people.

O’Reilly put these together. You don’t have to use them, but please follow the following guidelines:
1024 X 768 slide size.
20 Slides
Have fun with it! Please be respectful of the audience as well.
We will pull together all the presentations and set each one to auto-advance every 15 seconds. You don’t need to bring your own laptop, we will put them all together. To help keep them all straight, please use your last name as the filename.
We plan to make Ignite Wilmington a regular event. If you, or someone you know, has a great story worth telling, please let us know! We welcome topics about anything that other people will find interesting. That’s a wide criteria and that’s just fine. Imagine sitting at a bar or coffee shop glued to an interesting story from someone. Thats what we are looking for at Ignite Wilmington.
THE PRESENTATION PROCESS
If you would like to speak, submit your talk idea online. Just put together an abstract of what you want to talk about. After we open submissions for an event, you submit your talk idea online. All you need is an abstract of who you are and what your talk is about. You do not need to start working on your slides yet.
About three weeks prior to the event, we close submissions and select the presentations for the event night. Our team of judges select up to 18 presentations from the submissions. We work hard to create a well-rounded event night that appeals to creatives, techies and in-between.
About two weeks prior, we will notify the presenters. If you are selected, we will provide you with the powerpoint and/or keynote master slides so you can begin your masterpiece!
